Water Is Flowing In The Dupont Circle Fountain Again
Water is flowing in the beloved D.C. fountain following the completion of a major rehabilitation project, the Park Service says.
The “Pulling Together” exhibit opening Aug. 18 is meant to challenge the concept of a U.S. monument and asks, “What stories remain untold on the National Mall?”
The U.S. Army was able to safely remove the canisters, which will now be analyzed at Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia.
The National Park Service plans to clear a homeless encampment in McPherson Square on Feb. 15, two months ahead of the original date.
The encampment at 3rd Street and Massachusetts Avenue NE was located on a small plot of federal land, leaving the responsibility of clearing it to the National Park Service — not D.C.
The renovations are expected to be completed in the summer of that year, according to the National Park Service.
