Chinatown Capitol Hemp to Reopen, Charges Dropped
The City Paper has the scoop — Capitol Hemp’s Chinatown location, which recently feared that it would have to close for good if it couldn’t get its merchandise back, will re-open next week; in addition, all charges against employees stemming from the October 27 raids have been dropped.

Capitol Hemp Chinatown Location May Close For Good
Due to the recent raids on four head shops two weeks ago, it appears that the Chinatown location of Capitol Hemp may close for good.
Were raids on head shops a fully justified crackdown on the sale of what most people would see as bongs used to smoke marijuana, or a waste of police resources used against small businesses that have to obey a law that is vaguely worded and open to interpretation?
It’s particularly bad for California, but news that the federal government is moving in to shut down medical marijuana dispensaries in the Golden State could well have an impact in the District of Columbia.
