Michael Landrum’s pair of burger joints appears to be no more.

Ray’s the Steaks at East River, of the few white-tablecloth dining establishments east of the Anacostia River, has closed its doors for good, a staffer to of Councilmember Yvette Alexander (D-Ward 7) tells DCist.

Ray’s the Steaks at East River opened its doors in Ward 7 to much fanfare earlier this month. Part of Michael Landrum’s local Ray’s brand, the new location has quickly taken on the weight of being more than just a restaurant.
