Just when our depression about the non-story debacle of the highly disappointing D.C. Madam saga was reaching its peak, along comes 55-year-old Patricia Helen Meehan of Stafford, Va. to save us from our misery. NBC4 says that Meehan, who claims to be a dominatrix, was recently arrested in Maryland and returned to Stafford County to face a list of charges so fantastic we can hardly contain ourselves. Update: The National Weather Service has issued a tornado warning for southern Prince William County, specifically around Woodbridge (where the IKEA is). This follows warnings in Spotsylvania County, Fredericksburg, and Stafford County, so that means it’s headed our direction. New Councilmembers Protest Cropp Plan, Then Quiet Down: An incoming at-large councilmember and two ward councilmembers from Southeast voiced their opposition to a plan being pushed by D.C. Council Chairman Linda Cropp on how to assign committee chairmanship on the council. DCist doesn’t have to tell anyone who regularly drives Interstate 95 in Virginia that traffic is bad. So we’re going to refer you an AP article that the W.Times picked up saying that roadways like I-95 are reaching capacity. That means that there is no more room for additional vehicles, which means that rush hour lasts over many more hours.
