Montgomery County police are currently investigating an incident where “about 50 teens and young adults” entered a 7-Eleven on the 12000 block of Tech Road in Silver Spring, stole food and drinks, then ran out.
The family of Neil Michael Godleski — the 31-year-old Catholic University student who was shot and killed in a robbery attempt as he rode his bike through Sherman Circle last August — is now suing the city, claiming that the city’s Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services failed to keep the teen responsible under its watch.
A violent Halloween night in the District was not limited to the shooting of at least six people around the city, as a large brawl outside and inside the Foggy Bottom Metro station involved pepper spray being dispensed and led police to draw weapons.

The Post reported on a group of youths who reported for work at the Benning Park Recreation Center as assigned, and then were told they weren’t needed; after showing up at Sherwood Recreation Center in Northeast, the group was told again they weren’t needed before being shuttled off and told to call the program’s office to get another assignment….
