Jerrold Post, the former director of the CIA’s Center for the Analysis of Personality and Political Behavior, will be at Politics and Prose Saturday evening to discuss his new book, “Leaders and Their Followers in a Dangerous World.”

In the book, which has profiles of leaders from Saddam Hussein to Bill Clinton, Post argues that the psychological profile of a nation’s leader can tie together domestic politics and international affairs. While Post’s book has been praised for its detail and interesting analysis of Hussein, it has been criticized as well for having a conservative geo-political slant.
