Oh what wit News Channel 8 has. They made a cute endangered species joke this afternoon in reference to Pandamania, the massive public sidewalk art project. The pandas are becoming “extinct.”
Crews are rounding up the statues from District sidewalks and bringing them to a holding facility where they are being prepared for auction.
But there was at least one panda stolen this year. This panda was taken from Connecticut Avenue.
