The Upstate Life points us to a Diamondback article from this week that indicates that there is underage drinking in College Park. While that is no shocker, what is newsworthy is that a 15-year-old was seen frolicking about parties on Dickinson and College avenues. And not just any 15 year-old, but D.C. United’s soccer phenom Freddy Adu.

And Freddy, who was described as being “buzzed,” wowed the crowd. From the Diamondback:

When friends pointed out Adu to freshman letters and sciences major Amber Smith, she could hardly control her excitement.

“I gave him this huge bear hug, and I held him by the arms, and I’m like, ‘Hey, I’m Amber,’ and he’s like, ‘Hi, I’m Freddy,'” Smith said.

Major League Soccer senior communications director, Trey Fitzgerald, told the Diamondback that there isn’t much to worry about. “Freddy always handles himself as a fine, upstanding young man, so we aren’t overly concerned with any impropriety,” he said.
