We know our readers were probably too busy watching Johnny Damon (yay!) hit a grand slam and may have missed a few key plot points of last night’s episode of the West Wing, but not to worry! DCist proudly introduces the first installment of our We Watch So You Don’t Have To series. Consider it a public service dear readers, because really, the way this show is going there’s no need for all of us to suffer.
Before we get to it, it’s only fair to mention that an hour after we watched this episode, we saw a rerun of the classic episode “Noel“, on Bravo. It made us realize that Sorkin could make the story of a painting in the White House dramatic and fraught with human emotion, while Wells’ idea of subtlety is a helicopter falling out of the sky and landing on someone.
Also, maybe this is something only us DCers might notice, but why why why is Will Bailey in the White House all the time? And more over why is he sitting in on presidential advisory sessions on national security issues? He’s COS for the vice president! We can over look a lot of recent flaws, but this is just too unbelievable.
As you can see, DCist has more then a few nits to pick with this show, and we’re sure you do too. Don’t be shy; let us know your thoughts! Rants, raves and declarations of love for Josh are all equally welcome.
OK. Let’s get to it, people.
