Bummed that you couldn’t get tickets to the sold-out Interpol show tonight? Fear no longer, intrepid concert goers, because the D.C. scene is offering up something much more interesting.
Actress-turned-rocker Juliette Lewis (yes, she’s a double threat), famous from endeavors such as “Natural Born Killers,” and “The Way of the Gun,” and “Starsky & Hutch,” brings her band the Licks to the Black Cat this evening.
“I live for the sweat I drip on stage,” Lewis says on her web site. Yummy. Recent press describes the live show as “intense,” “a cross between Iggy Pop and Steven Tyler,” and “dirty, dirty punk-rock.”
Sounds good to us. Salem and Full Minute of Mercury open. 8:30 p.m., $10.
