Have you heard of Helmut Schellhardt? We didn’t until we did a little bit of digging. The German actor, from what we can tell has no personal connection to Washington, D.C., nor do his movies. But one of the characters that he played in a 1988 film does. And if you figured out Monday’s clue, then you may know that the person in question has a little-known monumental residence a few blocks away. In fact, if you’re a Virginia commuter using I-66, you pass under him on your way to the Pennsylvania Avenue/L Street exit or the Whitehurst Freeway.
