Good news and bad news for all you Tucker Carlson groupies, and you know who you are. First, the good news: The Philly Inquirer reports that the former “Crossfire” commentator has just signed a contract with MSNBC and will host an as of yet unnamed program at 9 p.m. So, good news! Tucker will be back on the air in all his bow tied glory.
And now the bad news:
Carlson will anchor the hour-long show from the network’s Secaucus, N.J., headquarters, says an MSNBC executive, speaking on condition of anonymity. Carlson and his family will relocate from Washington to the New York area.
No! Let’s face it, D.C. has very few “celebrities” that we can call our own, and while this DCist has never run into him, we liked thinking that he might be around the next corner.
Of course, this puts the future of Carlson’s other show, the WETA produced “Unfiltered”, into question. But really, who else except conservative die hards are going to miss a show that airs at 9:30 p.m. on Friday nights?
