MONDAY:
>> Sticky-sweet Japanese punksters Shonen Knife play the Black Cat tonight. $12.

TUESDAY:

WEDNESDAY:
>> We can’t decide: iPod DJ Night at Saint-Ex, or Indie Rock Karaoke ($5) at DC9? Oh, the choices a girl must make in life.

THURSDAY:
>> Local spinner DJ Yakov will showcase UK and Swedish House Music at Andalu this evening. You can download some of his mp3s here.

FRIDAY:
>> Hot Hot Heat plays scorching synth rock at the 9:30 Club. Bonus: one of their openers is local favorite Washington Social Club. $15.

SUNDAY
>> If you’re in the mood for something a little more cultured, the Washington Bach Consort is playing the St. John Passion at the National Presbyterian Church on Nebraska Avenue near American University at 3 p.m. Tickets will run you $15-47.
