Good morning Washington. Normally DCist won’t use our platform to ask you for help in a personal matter. But we must turn to you and say: “Help, our keg was stolen last night!” To celebrate good weather, 10+ DCists, surrogates and friends gathered at the Columbia Heights home of one of our contributors to eat, drink and plot how to introduce blogging to Loudoun County. And when we were all inside (we let our guard down for three minutes at most), the modest pony keg was stolen off the back porch! Gasp. If you’ve seen it, please let us know. Kelly Ann Collins, can you get your posse to put up a $30,000 reward for information leading to the recovery of said keg? (Maybe Jeff Gannon’s behind it. Or maybe some of the pesky bloggers who live down on Tenth Street. Yeah, you know who you are!) Kyle, if it isn’t recovered, Scott says he’ll give you $30 for the deposit. And to the punks who stole the keg: Please be aware you were able to take it so easily because there wasn’t much liquid content left. Enjoy the 30 cents worth of warm beer left in there.
OK, now on to the Morning Roundup, brought to you by Martin Austermuhle …

Stadium Closer to Reality: D.C. Chief Financial Officer Natwar M. Gandhi is reporting that the Washington Nationals stadium-to-be in Southeast will cost $46 million more than anticipated, yet the $581 million price-tag will come in just under the cap placed by the City Council last December, according to the Post. Gandhi also chose HOK Sport as the stadium’s lead architect, the firm responsible for 10 of the 14 most recent ballparks, amongst those San Francisco’s SBC Park.
