This should go without saying: Stay away from edges, whether it’s the platform edge at train stations or at RFK Stadium, where a man is now in critical condition after falling from the stadium’s upper-deck during yesterday’s Nats-Braves game.

From the AP, via Sports Illustrated:

The 35-year-old man, whose identity was not immediately revealed, fell from a ramp on the 500 level of the stadium, hit several ramps and railings on the way down and landed on the concourse of the 100 level, said Alan Etter, District of Columbia Fire and Emergency Medical Services spokesman.

The Post reports:

The man was “horsing around” with friends on the ramp on the south side of the stadium near Gate A when he fell at least 20 feet about 9:30 p.m., said Tony Robinson, a spokesman for the D.C. Sports and Entertainment Commission, which oversees RFK.

In other RFK-related news, watch out House staffers, or anyone else who uses the Blue and Orange lines. This afternoon’s Nats game will let out during the evening rush hour. So expect to see lots of red baseball caps (we hear the red hats are more popular than blue hats, is that true?) and awkwardly situated children mixing with office pinstripes and polished shoes.
