So much for the spring-time joys of baseball in Washington.

Residents living around RFK Stadium are complaining that the city’s newly implemented plan to stop baseball fans from parking in the residential area surrounding the stadium is resulting in overly aggressive parking enforcement — against them.

Various residents have taken to a local area listserv to voice their frustrations with parking officials they claim are arbitrarily ticketing cars, whether or not they are allowed to park on neighborhood streets or not. One resident relayed their experience:

As we walked out today we say a parking enforcement officer and asked her if Zone 6 stickers were all that were needed in this area. She said yes … then we left and she ticketed everyone.
