Awwww. Kittens! Cute, right? Well, Alley Cat Allies, a national non-profit clearinghouse for information on feral and stray cats, has a number of cute, cuddly kittens in need of temporary foster homes this season. According to a recent email we received:

You give the kittens food, love, toys and socialization; Alley Cat Allies takes care of medical expenses, until someone adopts them. It’s all tax-deductible. The group traps, neuters and releases adult feral cats to humanely control the outdoor population, and they rescue kittens young enough to be tamed and become indoor pets.

The organization, headquartered in Bethesda, requires all potential kitten care givers to fill out foster applications. In addition to their work here, Alley Cat Allies has gone to New Orleans in an effort to help animals rescued or still stranded after the hurricane. DCist would adopt one if we could, but we just can’t stand all that cuteness.

Interested parties should email langlin (at) alleycat (dot) org and jfrohman (at) alleycat (dot) org. Let us know if you decide to adopt one!
