When we’re not writing posts, we’re tooling with the site behind the scenes. Recently, we’ve implemented a few changes worthy of mention.
First off, we’ve moved the listing of recent posts to a footer alongside the bottom of the site, rather than keeping it on its perch along the left side. Second, we’ve replaced the Google search engine with a Rollyo alternative, with which you can search all our content by keyword. And third, we’ve added a box along the leftside column expressing our support for District voting rights. While this doesn’t affect navigation or use of the site, it does allow us to throw whatever weight we have behind what we feel is a fundamental right for the District residents — voting representation in Congress. And finally, as we mentioned yesterday, we’ve reinstated anarchic commenting. No more TypeKey, just you, the identity of your choosing, and your comments. Let’s try to keep it mildly civil, though.
If there is any of this that you particularly love or hate, leave us your thoughts in comments.
