We hope you all had yesterday off, like we did. If we’d been here to write the agenda, we would have told you to check out The Greek Embassy and Paul Kamran at Galaxy Hut. But we weren’t so we didn’t. If anybody caught the show, we’d love to hear how it was.

TUESDAY
>> The excitement of 24 and The Golden Globes may leave you feeling a little empty tonight. What better way to keep things interesting than seeing GarageBand.com‘s best male alt rock vocalist of 2005? Catch D.C.’s own Gone By June, with opener Pontiak, tonight at Iota. 8:30 p.m.

WEDNESDAY
>> While we recommend staying home and resting up for Thursday’s DCist Happy Hour @ Cue Bar, if you must get a live music fix, we suggest the melodic rock of Koshari (image by Steve Strawn), with The Fallen One, on the Black Cat‘s back stage. $5, 9 p.m.

>> For a stacked bill, head to the Warehouse for “three dynamic perspectives of improvisation and performance.” We’re not exactly sure what truth the press release speaks, but we are sure that the show includes an a capella set from a member of Black Eyes and Hand Fed Babies (Hugh McElroy), two men who frequent Sonic Youth‘s studio (Don Fleming and Chris Grier), and a trio including one member whose last name is very phonetically close to my own (DCIC). $6, 9 p.m.
