Out With the New: Irvine Contemporary gallery is officially moving into the old Fusebox space on 14th St. NW as of May 1, but in the meantime they have their last show at the old Connecticut Ave. space, with new paintings by Susan Jamison and Robert Mellor opening Friday, opening with a reception on April 7 from 6 to 8 p.m. Mellor’s Gracile is at right. Other Dupont Circle galleries will also be open since it’s the First Friday of the month.

Hey Hey MFA: ‘Tis the season for end of the year shows at our area universities. Prince Rosario has an MFA Thesis Exhibition from April 4 -13 at George Mason’s Gallery 123; American University has First-Year MFA students showing in the Katzen Center April 4–12 (MFA Theses exhibitions start April 15); Maryland Institute College of Art’s MFA Thesis II Exhibition opens this Friday, April 7 at 5:30 p.m.; The University of Maryland’s 2nd-Year MFA candidates have a show, titled Midpoint, up at the Union Gallery, through April 20.

Time Running Out: The Fraser Gallery-hosted Fourth Annual Bethesda International Photography Competition ends its run on April 11.
