Why do we always find about these things a day after they happen? According to WTOP, a group of naked cyclists took to the city’s streets yesterday in an effort to promote alternatives to oil. This isn’t to say that we would have joined in — after all, the idea of riding nude isn’t terribly appealing — but we would have taken pictures.

Publisher Remains Missing: Philip Merrill, publisher of the Washingtonian magazine, went missing over the weekend, reports the Post. According to Maryland authorities, Merrill’s yacht was found abandoned in waters 20 miles south of Annapolis on Saturday night, touching off a search of the area that has yet to produce any indication of what may have happened to him.

Deadly Weekend in District: According to the Post, two killings last night raised the weekend’s tally to five dead and one wounded. Though the killings are not thought to be connected, they made the weekend one of the deadliest in the District this year.

Teens Arrested With Guns on Metro: Three teens were arrested on Friday for carrying guns on the Metro, notes NBC 4. The three, aged between 16 and 15, were stopped at the Anacostia station on the Green Line after a passenger reported having heard them brag of carrying guns onto the Metro.
