Woooeee. As noted in the Morning Roundup, the DCist staff party was a bit of a killer last night. Ask DCist Adam about his recipe for Tom & Jerrys. Or, alternatively, if you want to live, don’t. Here’s some bits and pieces to send you out the door and, if your weekend is anything like ours, into a frenzy of holiday parties.
>> Be careful if you’re headed out and around the Shaw Metro stop this weekend. We’ve heard anecdotally that there’s been a bunch of harassment going on there, and this update from Logan Circle News about a bunch of kids jumping somebody only makes us more worried. [Logan Circle News]
>> Love the stadium or hate the stadium, you still might be interested in checking out these kind of awesome digitally rendered pictures of what it should look like. Also worth checking out is JDLand.com in general, as it faithfully details development in Southeast. [JDLand]
>> Generally I hate the circle-jerk aspect of a lot of D.C. media (not that anyone at DCist is ever guilty of it, no way!). But the one time I’ll make an exception is around the holidays, when the internet lets me obsessively follow the media holiday parties, both lame and wild. FishbowlDC has been up on all the juicy details — I mean, did you know that at last night’s Roll Call party, there were “female ad sales staffers gone very wild” and a “six bottle beer chugging contest in front of a VIP”? Or that for all the money the Politico is throwing at their new hires, after 8 p.m. at their holiday bash tomorrow, their open bar switches to cash? Craaaazy. [FishbowlDC]
