Here at DCist, we’re all bout doing things bigger and better in 2007, so get ready for Unbuckled 5, coming your way next month.

We thought we’d break from tradition a bit with this edition and (gasp!) book a band from out of town. Now before everyone goes and gets their knickers in a bunch, just relax. The District will be well represented at the show, but we had a chance to book Brooklyn’s very own Pela, a band that I, along with quite a few other people, think is due for big things this year. So how could we pass that up? Answer: we couldn’t.

And once the headliners were locked down, there was only one band we could think of that would be able to kick off the show with the required joie de vivre, that being D.C.’s beloved These United States. And when John and Laura from Georgie James signed on to DJ the night’s festivities, well then we knew it was on.

So mark those calendars! Here are the details:
