Though the Snowpocalypse has been somewhat underwhelming so far, it looks like the storm is starting to pick up some steam. Area school systems have announced early closures, government workers are furiously updating the Office of Personnel Management’s website and pretty much every office-bound amateur meteorologist out there is trying to convince their boss that the low pressure system over Tennessee is bad news and that everyone should get to go home in time for Judge Hatchett.

Seeing the icy disaster on the horizon, the Post has put out a call to area photogs — they want your pictures. Whether pedestrians carefully walking on slippery sidewalks or shoppers fighting over the last Tombstone frozen pizza and six-pack of Miller High Life, the Post knows that we, the regular citizens, can capture some of the best images of all things weather-related.

Of course, let’s not forget that we’ve been asking for and using your shots for quite a while now. So if you get a sweet shot of kids having an iceball fight, send it our way.
