Antawn Jamison and Caron Butler returned from their injuries over the weekend and the nearly full strength Wizards won a pair of games, defeating Atlanta 93-92 on Friday and winning a wild one yesterday over Golden State 107-106.

We’ll start with the Golden State game, as it had one of the strangest endings I’ve ever seen in a basketball game. Down two with just over two seconds remaining, Gilbert Arenas drove to the hole and drew a foul from the Warriors’ Mickael Pietrus with just .01 seconds remaining. Warriors head coach Don Nelson was none too pleased and stormed onto the court and called referee Tony Brothers “a f@cking idiot,” earning a technical foul and giving Arenas a chance to win the game from the free throw line. Agent Zero dutifully sank all three free throws to give the Wiz the win.

While all the post game attention has been placed on Nelson (who addressed the media after the game while sipping on a can of Bud Light) and Arenas, fans shouldn’t forget the big play by Caron Butler that set up the fateful final moments. After an Arenas miss with 48 seconds left, Butler stole the ball from Al Harrington and went right in for a monster jam over a helpless Andris Biedrins that sent the Verizon Center crowd into a frenzy. NBA.com rightfully named it “Dunk of the Night,” you can watch it here.
