>> Must Love Trash, DJ Adrian Loving and DJ Gavin Holland have all volunteered their services at Wonderland tonight to benefit a group putting together a Columbia Heights Day festival. The party starts at 9 p.m. upstairs. Help these guys get their web site and street festival off the ground by having a good time. For more details about Columbia Heights Day, email ColumbiaHeightsDay (at) gmail.com

>> The Hej Hej DJs, DJ Yum Yum and yourfavouriteasian will all be spinning at Felix tonight for a free party celebrating the launch of Squishables.com, a proprietor of large, very soft stuffed animals that look set to be this year’s Ugly Dolls. Drink specials and Squishables giveway begin at 9 p.m.

>> Campus Progress hosts the D.C. premiere of the Media That Matters film festival from 6-8:30 p.m. at Landmark’s E Street Cinema. The festival consists of nine inspiring short films by young, independent artist-activists, addressing a range of issues, from the violence in Colombia to Rwandan genocide to vigilantes along America’s borders. RSVP here for the free series.

>> Doesn’t look like ticket seekers are getting much love on Craigslist for tonight’s sold-out Gogol Bordello show at 9:30 Club, and with good reason — the last time the Ukrainian-American self-styled gypsy punk band came through the venue, they whipped up the crowd into a the sort of sweaty, sexy dance frenzy rarely if ever seen in this city. Maybe try hanging around outside to score a last-minute ticket, and if you can’t find one, head over to DC9 Rock and Roll Hotel to catch Jason Isbell (of Drive By Truckers) at 9 p.m., $14.
