>> The National Zoo has announced the birth of its first baby anteater. Giant anteater Maripi gave birth last Tuesday, July 24, though the zoo had been expecting the baby in August. >> A young girl was injured at Six Flags America in Largo, Md. today when she stood up and fell out of the “Octopus” ride. Park officials said it appears she fell from a height of 4 feet, and her injuries are not life threatening. [NBC4]
