The Hatchet — George Washington University
>>The big news at GWU this week is that Freshman Sarah Marshak, who reported six swastikas being drawn on her dorm room door’s whiteboard, actually drew five of them herself, which she has now said she did to bring attention to the first incident. Marshak, who is Jewish and a former reporter for the Hatchet, was informed she will most likely be expelled.

>>Business students and professors at GWU are having a hard time deciding how to react to an email sent out by two deans this Tuesday. The email, in regards to a survey from Business Week magazine, told students to consider their “opportunity to affect the way that current and future employers and students will view The George Washington University, our students and our alumni.” The magazine has since said they will pay special attention when reviewing GWU for ranking.

The Bullet — University of Mary Washington
>>Residents of a UMW dorm left an 8.5″ by 11″ piece of paper “showing a white man with his arm around a sobbing black man which read ‘Slavery Re-instated: Catch yourself a good one'” for the cleaning staff to find in the refrigerator. The note has elicited outrage at the Fredricksburg, VA campus. “I thought the sign was hilarious,” said one resident of the now infamous Jefferson fourth floor. “I guess it wouldn’t be funny if you were black.”

The Hilltop — Howard University
>>To protest what they disliked about the cafeteria services provided by Sodexho, HU law students recently provided a free potluck outside the cafeteria. The company immediately responded and met with the students, conceding to change almost everything being protested. “We will begin immediately exploring the addition of healthier meal choices along with evaluating meal prices and making price adjustments where appropriate with an expected overall price roll back of 1-2 percent,” said Sodexho in a recent memo.
