FRIDAY:

>> The 18th Street Lounge’s regular Wednesday night reggae stars SEE-I are at the Rock and Roll Hotel to celebrate the holidays with some friends who are sure to get you dancing too — DJ Mat the Alien and remix artists Fort Knox Five. Tickets for the Happy FKX-XMas are $10.

>> Rufus Wainwright begins a two-night stint at the 9:30 Club tonight with his sister, Lucy Wainwright Roche. Tickets are still available for Saturday for $35.

>> The Palace of Wonders hosts a Sexy Santa Striptease burlesque show. If you’ve always had a thing for either Mr. or Mrs. Claus, first of all, you’re a freak. Second of all, don’t miss this show. $10, 10 p.m.

SATURDAY:

>> Still not sick of Christmas music? Head to Wonderland Ballroom for the The 8th Annual Joti Rockwell and the Ambalamps Network Television Holiday Extravaganza. A live band will apparently be playing everything from Wham!’s “Last Christmas” to Run DMC’s “Christmas in Hollis”. It’s $8 to get in for the 8 p.m. show, with proceeds going to benefit the D.C. Central Kitchen.

>> Art Whino is having a Lounging Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. DJs are invited to stop by and will be spinning. Also on display will be the Say Whaaat! Art Toys, which are customized toys being auctioned off on eBay to support the Capital Area Food Bank. 717 North Saint Asaph Street, Alexandria, Va.

>> The beloved bluegrass group Hackensaw Boys are playing the Black Cat with These United States and John Bustine. $10, 9 p.m.

SUNDAY:

>> It’s pretty slow around these parts, but consider spending the day finally catching any one of the ongoing exhibits at the National Gallery of Art (J.M.W. Turner and Edward Hopper), the Hirshhorn, or the Corcoran Gallery of Art, which are all open on Sunday.
