FRIDAY:

>> It’s one of the bigger movie weekends on the calendar, so there’s certainly a film that you haven’t seen floating around out there. Check out our in-depth looks at The Wrestler and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button; if those aren’t your style, just open a newspaper, close your eyes, and point.

>> Locals The Anderson Twins will be at Twins Jazz tonight (and Saturday, too) for 9 and 11 p.m. sets. $15.

>> As part of the Kennedy Center’s Hanukkah celebration, Golem will meld speedy Eastern European Jewish klezmer music with Eastern European Gypsy music and some good ol’ American punk at the Millennium Stage. Free, 6 p.m.

>> All that holiday shopping and hubbub have you in need of a laugh? The D.C. Improv hosts stand-up D.C. Benny, whose work spans commercials, a Comedy Central half-hour special, and even a bit part on Law and Order. (If anything, his name sounds good.) 8 p.m., $35-65.

SATURDAY:

>> DCist caught up with Olivia Mancini earlier this week, but here’s your chance to experience her new ensemble live — Olivia and the Terrible Two are on the Black Cat’s mainstage with Tereu Tereu and Revival, $10, 9 p.m.

>> The Wizards are at home against Oklahoma City, who is a robust 3-26 so far this season; this is probably one of the few games this season in which the Wizards will be favored to win. With their “Economic Stimulus” offer, you can get tickets for as little as $11. 7 p.m.

>> The Smithsonian American Art Museum is holding Art and Coffee, a caffeinated tour and talk in the Luce Foundation Center. Meet in the F Street lobby. Free, 1:30 p.m.

>> Are you a World War II buff, but not really psyched about Tom Cruise’s new flick? Author Robert F. Door will be at the National Air and Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center for a signing of his book, Hell Hawks!: The Untold Story of the American Fliers Who Savaged Hitler’s Wehrmacht. Free, 2 p.m.

>> Perhaps you’re in search of some enlightenment? The Sackler Gallery hosts Sacred Arts of Asia, a tour of work “originally created for worship in various Asian religious traditions.” Free, 2:15 p.m.

>> Looking for a new place to satisfy your gullet? Check out our thoughts on the city’s best joints to order tibs, the vastly underrated Ethiopian specialty.

SUNDAY:

>> If you haven’t gone yet, there’s nothing quite as fun around the holidays as the National Zoo’s ZooLights, which is running all weekend. Animals and pretty lights, huzzah! 6 p.m., $6 for FONZ members, $12 otherwise.

>> Elodie brings a seductive mixture of whispy, flirtatious words and electro beats to DC9, along with Ole’ and DJ Ca$$idy. $10, 8 p.m.

>> The Makeup Breakup bring their two-man synthesized indie pop to Velvet Lounge. 9 p.m.
