Spelling and grammar can be tough for some people, and infuriating for others. There’s always the folks who can’t spell anything at all, the ones who pluralize things by adding apostrophes, and the folks (including plenty of DCist commenters!) who take no small joy in correcting people. And then there’s this lady.

Overheard of the Week

At Pentagon City Metro around 4 p.m. on Friday:

Woman 1 (on her phone, texting): “Is ‘trynda’ a word?”
Woman 2: “What?”
Woman 1: “You know, like, ‘I’m trynda do somethin'”
