>> Colorful South African vocal ensemble Ladysmith Black Mambazo, best known for their work on Paul Simon’s Graceland, will be performing an 8 p.m. show on Friday at Strathmore. As of this writing, there aren’t many tickets left.
>> Saxophonist Bruce Swaim, winner of the 2010 Wammie for “Best Jazz Instrumentalist,” will be leading his group on Friday and Saturday at Twins Jazz. Tickets to the 9 and 11 p.m. sets are $15 + $12 minimum/surcharge.
