Two pieces of courtroom action to keep track of from today.

The first is former Jim Graham chief-of-staff Ted Loza, who appeared in a brief hearing today to enter a plea of not guilty, as expected. D.C. Wire has the report. Loza stands accused of bribery, extortion, conspiracy and making false statements. His trial is not expected to start until October.

Second is a guilty plea in the nearly forgotten OCTO case. Sushil Bansal, the man who helped organize a scheme in which D.C. Office of the Chief Technology Officer employees took kickbacks and falsified invoices in an effort to funnel funds to Bansal’s company, has pleaded guilty in the case, the AP reports (via WTOP). Co-conspirators Yusuf Acar and Farrukh Awan had already pleaded guilty. Bansal will be sentenced on July 16.
