Bishop Harry Jackson has lost pretty much every battle related to marriage equality in the District, but he’s not giving up.
GLAA Forum reports that Jackson’s High Impact Leadership Coalition has started distributing flyers encouraging attendees of the D.C. Democratic State Committee’s 2010 State Convention on June 12 to vote in a straw poll for candidates that have supported putting same-sex marriage to the District’s voters.
According to the awesomely retro-looking flyer, attendees should “Wear white & any Marriage Buttons” and cast their votes for Leo Alexander for mayor, Kelvin Robinson for At-Large council member and Delano Hunter for Ward 5. The flyer also includes Anthony Motley, who is running as an independent and will thus not be including in the Democratic straw poll.
