Traffic was snarled for much of the morning in northern Virginia, as Pentagon Police diverted vehicles along southbound Interstate 395 to investigate a shooting incident at the Pentagon. It turns out that two shots, fired by an unknown person, struck the side of the Pentagon building around 4:50 a.m. today. Federal authorities, including the FBI, are investigating further. The gunfire comes on the heels of a similar shooting at the National Museum of the Marine Corps in Prince William County on Sunday. There’s no word on whether the shootings are connected.
