Queen Noble, Delegate: We’ve covered the Queen before, but this statement sums her candidacy up nicely. It’s interesting that Noble decided not to make any mention of her stance on reparations here, but she does mention her $994 trillion lawsuit. Also: extra points for the all caps on the nickname.

All politicians are a little crazy, right? After all, it takes someone with a bit of a maniacal edge to run for, and serve in, public office. In fact, could make the argument that as a politician, if somebody doesn’t hate you, well, you probably aren’t doing that great of a job. Of course, it’s a managed insanity. Seats of power obviously attract those with causes they firmly believe in, but are just plain kooky to the majority of the population.

D.C., obviously, is no exception.

Above, you’ll find the four most off-the-wall (and the one most unfortunately timed) candidate statements from the thrilling Voter Guide to the 2010 General Election. (It was a real page-turner, let me tell you.) The fact that Carlos Allen (who, for some reason, is the only candidate whose name isn’t in all caps in the statement section) didn’t make this list should give you an idea of the content in these statements — and I didn’t doctor any of these images, I promise. (Of course, if you don’t believe me, you can always download a PDF of the Guide here.)
