The idea of being a professional athlete is an appealing to you, is it? Well, never forget: these guys have bosses too. And, often times, they enjoy utilizing the expletive slang.

Washington Capitals head coach Bruce Boudreau was very unhappy about his team’s play during the second intermission of a game against the Florida Panthers. The team was playing some rather uninspired hockey, and had sloppily in a goal before the horn sounded on the second period. HBO was in the building to shoot the Capitals for their 24/7 series, and Boudreau — who reportedly asked the camera crew to leave the room before they filmed his speech — ripped into his players with a stream of curses. (The situation, I’d argue, was handled exactly as it should have been: Boudreau asked the film crew to leave fully aware he was about to use a boatload of profanity; the film crew, documentarians that they are, rightly refused.)

But it’s hockey — everyone curses. Dan Steinberg has more proof if you need it. Frankly, if anyone thinks this conversation doesn’t happen in locker rooms around every professional, collegiate and yes, even high school in America, well, they’re wrong. Does that make it okay? Maybe, maybe not. That’s really not for us to judge.

But I’ll bet that Boudreau gets more respect for this from Caps fans than any carpet commercial he’s ever appeared in.

The clip, after the jump. Lots and lots of very naughty words ahead, so toss those headphones on if you’re at the office.
