Another teenager, another random shooting, another death. In a story which will likely remind many of the tragic Joseph Alonzo Sharps slaying, Fox5/WTTG has the sad details on the shooting of two teenagers in Petworth on Sunday which killed 16-year-old Bryant Morillo. According to police, the two teens were waiting for the bus on the 4500 block of New Hampshire Avenue NW when two men armed with a gun announced a stick-up — after taking an iPod, earrings and a bag which may or may not have contained North Face jackets, one of the robbers told his partner to shoot the pair. When the partner refused, the robber who made the request grabbed the gun and fired. Morillo was reportedly a junior at High Point High School in Beltsville, but he was in the District to catch a bus to the His and Hers Salon in Hyattsville, where his mother worked. Morillo’s 17-year-old cousin was also wounded in the shooting, one of two incidents which wounded several in D.C. on Sunday.
