Because D.C. Councilmember Jim Graham’s got two — and they can be all yours, if the price is right. Graham, who has been complaining about the way that the Council’s tickets to events at the Verizon Center were being doled out by Council Chairman Kwame Brown, put his Council tickets for tonight’s Gaga concert up for auction on eBay.

“You’re bidding on two tickets to see Lady Gaga on Thursday February 24th at 8:00 PM. These are box-seats in the DC City Council Suite, donated by DC City Council Member Jim Graham,” reads the description. Now, I don’t know about you, but I would have bid a pretty penny if Graham was actually using the other ticket. A chance to see which Gaga tune Graham to dances hardest to and press the Councilmember about whether or not he thinks that “Born This Way” is just a ripoff of “Express Yourself”? Well worth any cost. UPDATE: The Post reports that Graham may indeed still be attending after he obtained a couple of extra tickets yesterday; Graham is apparently thinking about asking “a Washington City Paper reporter who has been one of his most frequent and visible critics,” likely Jason Cherkis. (For his part, Cherkis has said that Graham should invite Bryan Weaver to the concert.)

Then again, it’s hard to rag too much on Graham; after all, funds raised from the ticket auction are being funneled to The D.C. Center for the LGBT Community. And it looks like the auction might raise a good bit of money for the organization: as of 10:40, the 34 bids to date have raised the price to $550, with still seven-plus hours left to go.
