(People trying to get cocaine past inspectors inside dried soup packets and fully-cooked chickens come to mind.) But there are still those who attempt to get around the watchdogs via more conventional methods. Take, for example, 45-year-old Ebodor F. Okenwa, whose smuggling creativity was blinded by his foolish ambition. According to a report in the Examiner, Okenwa arrived at Dulles International Airport from Italy last Thursday with 88 pellets of heroin weighing 3.7 pounds and worth $125,000 in his abdomen.
In an affidavit, the Department of Homeland Security came to the conclusion that the amount was “consistent with further distribution.” Uh, yeah, that’s probably a safe bet.
