UPDATE (4:25 p.m.): WTOP spoke with Ward 1 Councilmember Jim Graham, who said that the two individuals wounded were Marquette Hunter, 19, and Devon Norace, 20. Both were reportedly shot in the ankles as part of a gang-related drive-by shooting on V Street.
UPDATE (3:30 p.m.): Police are reportedly looking for a dark blue, late model Honda or Camry in connection with the shooting. The car was last seen driving on 15th Street NW, possibly with a juvenile inside.
Around 2:35 this afternoon, police and responded to a report of a shooting at the intersection of 14th and U Streets NW. At this point, details on what precisely happened during the shooting are unclear, but FEMS has confirmed that two people have been transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening gunshot wounds.
Witnesses at the scene tell DCist that two shots were heard, and at least one — possibly both — of those wounded were shot at 14th and W Streets, and proceeded down to U Street. Currently, police are investigating, and the 1300 block of U Street has been blocked off to traffic.
