First Lady Michelle Obama had been planning on getting out into the Washington community this afternoon and doing some work on a habitat improvement project led by the Anacostia Watershed Society at Fort Dupont Park in Ward 7. (We’re guessing that there would also have been plenty of hugs to go around.) But the relatively crummy weather apparently forced the cancellation of the project. Bummer.

On the bright side, all indications are that a little rain won’t be stopping Jesus’ annual procession through the streets of Mount Pleasant and Columbia Heights, so at least there’s that.
