EMS transported an adult male at priority 1, which means he was seriously injured. No further word about the man’s condition or the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
In Northwest, a man was shot at Georgia Avenue and Gallatin Street around 4 p.m. yesterday. The man told police that an African American man in his 30s rode up to him on a bike, displayed a gun, and tried to rob him.The man struggled with the robber and was shot in the shoulder. The robber took nothing and fled on the bike. The man’s injuries are not life threatening. The robber was riding an orange and white mountain bike.
There was a non-fatal shooting on the corner of 12th and H street NE at 1:30 a.m. this morning. The shooting occurred after the victim and suspect got into an argument. MPD-1D officers apprehended the suspect and recovered the gun in the alley near the 1100 block of K Street NE. The victim is expected to survive.
In Gaithersburg, a man shot his girlfriend and then killed himself yesterday at approximately 11 a.m. His girlfriend sustained non-life threatening injuries. No other information, including the identity of the man, is available. The woman was taken to a hospital.
