Eight more suspicious letters have been collected at or en route to D.C. schools today, adding to the 29 found yesterday, all containing a white, powdery substance. Washington hasn’t been the only target, in fact, the FBI has similar letters already under investigation that were sent to schools around the country over the last few weeks, along with more sent to D.C. schools last October, as well. The letters contain the words “AL AQEDA-FBI” and all appear to originate from Dallas, Texas area on May 2, the day after Osama bin Ladin was reported killed. So far the powdery substance in all of the letters has been harmless. The FBI and U.S. Postal Inspectors in Washington and Dallas are continuing to investigate.
