Frustrated by the way the federal government treats the District of Columbia, and wondering what the Obama Administration is doing about it? Well, here’s your chance to ask — Michael Blake, White House Director of African American & Minority Business Outreach in the Office of Public Engagement, will appear at a forum on Wednesday night at All Souls Church in Ward 1 where residents can “voice [their] concerns to the White House directly and have [their] questions answered.”

Blake will “discuss the Obama Administration’s accomplishments and challenges, and take questions from the audience” on a wide range of topics, apparently including the Obama Administration’s stance on Home Rule and whether the White House will “bargain with marriage equality and HIV-prevention programs” in the District. During the evening, there will be break-out sessions in which residents will be able to discuss their concerns.

Doors at All Souls Church (2835 16th Street NW) will open at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, and the forum will run until 9 p.m. If you have questions about the event, would like to submit a question to Blake in advance or would like to RSVP, you can do so at this link.
