Congrats grads. Today you take your first steps out into the adult world. Gingerly stepping forth into a booming job market and a wide welcoming world with limitless possibilities. As Robert Frost once said, [insert hackneyed quote here]. Blah blah blah blah …

For those of us long past that relieving moment, this weekend we can relive (or avoid) it as Howard University, George Washington University and Catholic University will hold a trifecta of commencement ceremonies. Last weekend, D.C. was slightly primed for the oncoming avalanche with the University of the District of Columbia’s commencement in the Washington Convention Center, but now we have three to deal with. Both Catholic and Howard ceremonies take place on their respective campuses this morning, while GWU’s will be on the National Mall tomorrow morning. Heads up, Fourth Street between Madison Drive and Jefferson Drive, SW will closed for the Sunday commencement.

And which star studded faces will be gracing these grads-to-be? Catholic has Rep. John Boehner, Howard listens to former Mayor of New Orleans Marc H. Morial and super mayor Michael R. Bloomberg will be speaking on the Mall to GW grads.

Gird your loins D.C., mama and papa bears are loose in the city. And forget about trying to eat brunch until next month.
