If you needed another reason to adopt an adorable animal, the Washington Humane Society is waiving adoption fees for all cats over two years old for the month of June.

In a collaboration with the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, and the makers of Fresh Step litter, the Humane Society is waiving the fees in order to find more loving homes for cats. All cats deserve to know what happiness is, so you can find fuzzy “kitteh” faces to take home at WHS’ two shelter locations (1201 New York Avenue NE and 7319 Georgia Avenue NW). All other normal adoption policies will remain in effect. You can find more information on the Washington Humane Society website.

Without fees, this might be the best time to counteract the cat poisoners in the city, and take home a fur ball of love for free.
