Photo by KaronA recent survey released by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration found that nearly a quarter of Americans admitted to binge drinking and 8.4 percent have used an illicit drug in the past month.
Roughly speaking, binging is when a man has five drinks in about two hours and when a woman has four.
CBS spun the data into a list of the “Booziest states in America,” with D.C. ranking third. They note that 29.69 percent of Washingtonians reported binge drinking in the past month. Evidently, CBS overlooked the fact that D.C. is not a state.
