Might as well get all the natural disasters out of the way in one week, right? Sandwiched between the earthquake and the looming threat of Hurricane Irene, today will feature a flash flood watch around the region. The watch, which warns of the possibility of “rainfall in excess of two inches in just a couple of hours,” begins at noon and extending until this evening. (Time for Davy to update his checklist, I guess.)
