Photo courtesy Examiner. The man who robbed two Wells Fargo bank branches in the span of eight days is still at-large, and federal authorities are asking the public for help.
The suspect, pictured at right, is a middle-aged Hispanic man with a medium build who is between 5’7″ and 5’10”. The man appears to have an affinity for hats; during both the September 30 robbery at 1804 Adams Mill Road NW — to which Washington City Paper staffer Jeff Boswell was a witness — and an attempted robbery on October 7 inside the 1100 Connecticut Avenue NW branch, he was wearing caps. (I’m sure the feds really appreciate the guy repping FBI-branded gear.)
There’s a $5,000 reward for information leading to the robber’s arrest; tipsters can contact D.C. police by calling (202) 727-6171, or the FBI by calling (202) 278-2000.
